Marissa Spada has fond memories of growing up in the 70's when cut-off Levis ruled, and both men & women wore clogs. Everyone seemed to have the most fantastic belts (a belt fashioned from bullet casings belonging to her mother comes readily to mind!!). To that end, over the years, as both a vintage dealer and collector, she was drawn to, and came to acquire a fabulous collection of 60's and 70's belt buckles with amazing leather straps. Whenever she wore one of her belts, she was asked where she got it, and often would take it off and sell it on the spot! Inspired by her collection and people's interest in it, she decided to design a line of buckles with interchangeable belt straps that had a vintage rock and roll vibe, but were also distinctly girly, modern, and most of all, fun. LUCY'S SISTER (named after her sister, and adorable black pug), was launched in the Spring of 2005.
